Epec MultiTool Diagnoser
Epec has released a new diagnostics and maintenance tool, MultiTool Diagnoser (MTD) for Epec control system products.
MTD is a follower product for Epec CANmoon diagnostics tool. With MultiTool Diagnoser, customers are able to configure units, monitor and diagnose
CAN or Ethernet bus traffic and upload firmware or software to the unit. Using MTD requires customer registration. Basic MTD features are free of charge for Epec customers. MultiTool Diagnoser Plus comes with additional features with an annual fee.
Epec MultiTool Diagnoser key features:
- Supports multiple communication buses
- Fully configurable UI
- Support remote CAN
- Bus monitoring and viewing bus traffic
- Configure the unit communication and system parameters
- Loading firmware and application software to the unit
- CAN database support
MultiTool Diagnoser Plus features:
- Simultaneous use of multiple CAN buses
- OD and sending custom CAN messages
- I/O diagnostics
- Trend graphs
- Python script support
- Triggers
- Logging bus traffic to a file
- Remote CAN
Epec MultiTool Diagnoser supports all Epec products. Please note that customers may continue using Epec CANmoon but new products or features will not be available for CANmoon.
Registration and trial period
Epec MultiTool Diagnoser requires customer registration and acceptance of the license terms. There is a free 30 days trial period for MTD and after the trial has ends, customers may continue to use the free basic features or purchase a license for MTD Plus version. User registering is triggered automatically when starting MTD for the first time.

Epec remoteCAN new versions
Related to the MTD release, there are new versions of remoteCAN software for Epec 6000 series products available from Epec’s Extranet for both 2.x and 3.x series Linux.
